My weekend trip to Hangzhou was a total blast! Got lots of pictures, took in some amazing scenery and tasted some authentic Longjing Tea (at a tea grower's house, no less!).

The Chinese call Hangzhou an Earthly Paradise. I agree with that. Inspite of the Spring Festival crowd, Hangzhou remained beautiful and peaceful. That is Paradise. It's cleaner and greener than any other Chinese city. It abounds in myth and history and is a very well-managed place.

I also caught a nasty cough. Not that it spoiled my trip. But when I got back to Shanghai, my already weakened lungs could not take the pollution from the festival fireworks, and so I had to visit a doctor the next day. But a little TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine) later, I'm much better. And uploading pictures.
