I think this is a very memorable picture - as shown by me returning to comment on it two months after it was submitted :) The colours are lovely - all peach and shadow - and the picture is very suggestive of the environment around it while showing very little (e.g. the shadow of the tree on the wall). There's a tension I think between the voyeurism (suggested by this being viewed through a window hole) and the innocence of both the lady's expression and activity.... I think this is me analysing it after the fact a bit, I'm just trying to get to grips with why I find it compelling!

I like the way you've analyzed this. For me it was just the fact that by photographing her at a vulnerable moment, I made a connection. Call it voyeurism, but I guess that's a big part of street photography.

I'm so happy that you remember this photo so long after it was taken. :)
